Dr. Roman Bronfman (Hebrew: רומן ברונפמן, born 22 April 1954) is a left wing Israeli politician. He was born in the Ukraine, and immigrated to Israel in 1980. He was a member of the Knesset from 1996 for Yisrael BaAliyah and the Democratic Choice (latterly in an alliance with Meretz-Yachad) until he lost his seat in the 2006 elections
He holds a PhD in Political Science from Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Before entering politics, he was a lecturer and journalist.
