[edit] AfD procedures

Usually a page in AfD status has 5 days from the day it's submitted before the discussion is closed and a decision is made. In some cases the discussion may close early. Usually those are when a page is a definite candidate for speedy deletion, but the tag is removed, or if a strong consensus is reached early. As long as conversation remains civil, and no vandalism occurs to the page, or to pages belonging to others, the ful;l five days is used.

Of course, if the changes needed to fix the page are made, the nomination may even be withdrawn if you can convince the nominator that it's warranted. --DarkAudit 01:34, 4 July 2006 (UTC)

Thanks, I'm still learning this stuff. Not to mention I'm on an airplane on Friday, my travel schedule is very heavy. I'll try to keep an eye on it, again, still learning this. I am a little ticked at the WP policies state on a "newbie" to talk to them first before immediately putting them on the AFD list. Oh well, that's how you learn sometimes, the hard way. I was just cutting, pasting and editing when I was immediately slapped with the AFD notice, I wasn't even orginally done. Thanks again, Rolando.Rolandogomez 02:04, 4 July 2006 (UTC)

    • I put up a couple of new pages today that could potentially get AfD'd. I put a stub tag on them to let people know I wasn't done. Sometimes they'll let a page slide if it looks like it's a work in progress. --DarkAudit 03:51, 4 July 2006 (UTC)
  • Just thought I'd let you know that I've done some basic formatting and clean-up of your page - I hope I've not made any factual errors, and that it meets with your approval. Thanks also for the book offer from the AfD. :) Tevildo 13:15, 4 July 2006 (UTC)
  • Thanks everyone for your support. Both of you guys email me at rolando@rolandogomez.com with your addresses and I'll send you a signed copy of my book, my small way of saying thanks--regardless of the outcome of the AfD. Thanks again, now to spend time with my kids, thanks, rg.
