[edit] Test 2
This is a timeline for a fictional racing team to introduce possibles situations.
The name of the series depend on the square lenght (Formula Renault V6 Eurocup could be FRV6E if necessary). This fictional team ran only on F1 until 1981, except 1975/1976 in F2, so we can reduce timeline when there only F1. A color code can be used following series sort. Empty square should be merged (I don't know if we can merge two different lenghts empty row). In this example, all involved series are registered even if the team race only in one event (to be exhaustive), we can use reference (like WRC/ALMS here). The order of appearence depend on the historical order of commitment in series, trying to fill first empty row (probably not the best solution). Width of yaer square can be reduce if the timeline is very long.
