[edit] merge into the main Bosnian War article

I've proposed that this be merged into the main Bosnian War article, where the role of foreign volunteers is already noted. Also, articles such as 7th Muslim Brigade seem to cover this sufficently. Cordless Larry 14:44, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

  • I personally feel that we need a page to sum up the role of foreign fighters-possibly even a catogary as articals such as the 7th Muslim Brigade only look at a small part of there role. Also the subject is only touched upon in the main artical. --88.108.161.10 15:16, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
The suggestion is to merge the articles, not to remove the content from the encyclopedia. Infomation contained in this article will become part of the main article. Hut 8.5 17:08, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
  • I think we should let it grow. Bosnian War is unwieldy as it is. --estavisti 16:45, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
I agree (i'm the IP address by the way) --Boris Johnson VC 16:45, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
  • Dear all, I agree with merging it with the overall Bosnian war article. Mainly because The role of foreign fighters in the Bosnian war is a bit of a strange entry in an encyclopedia. As for this making the Bosnian war article too long and unwieldy, I think this only means that the editors of this section will have to do a good job in condensing and prioritizing information. --KarlXII 13:10, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
  • OK, since there was no consensus I've removed the merge tag. Cordless Larry 13:24, 25 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Garibaldi battalion exist?

Does anyone by chance have more information on the Italian volunteers of the Garibaldi battalion that fought as part of the Croatian Defence Council? According to some sources I found there were Italian units in Bosnia that bore the name of Garibaldi, but these were part of the UN peace forces. I know that there were Italian volunteers, among foreign volunteers from other countries, that fought as members of the Croatian armed forces both in the wars in Croatia and Bosnia, but I'm just curious if there really was a special Italian unit in the HVO. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.3.229.216 (talk • contribs) 20:47, 29 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] semi-protection until 15 May 2008

See Wikipedia:Requests for checkuser/Case/AhmadinV. This page has been the target for a sockpuppet of user:Grandy Grandy so I have protected this page from new users for a month to discourage Grandy Grandy creating any more sockpuppet to continue editing this page. --Philip Baird Shearer (talk) 00:55, 15 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Let's get serious

I left my comment on Bosnian Mujahideen talk page. --HarisM (talk) 14:48, 15 April 2008 (UTC)

As I wrote on talk:Bosnian Mujahideen#Let's get serious The trouble is that the version that you HarisM are reverting to is one that was constructed by a now banned user. So what I would like to suggest is that you re-introduce the changes you think should be there one at a time and give time for a consensus to be built around each change. --Philip Baird Shearer (talk) 10:50, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
