Talk:Role homogeneity
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The definition given for "role homogeneity" seems really strange. It seems unlikely that the author of this definition would have gotten it wrong, but could someone please give an example or examples of it being used in practice?
The article makes the claim: "Sociologists have demonstrated that in areas of strong homogeneity, there is a general tendency to repress controversy."
This seems like an exceedingly strong claim about a complex phenomenon over which there should be considerable disagreement. Can anyone give a reference to a study or a book that makes this claim? Aren't there any practitioners in the field that doubt it? Are there any concrete examples of this? Aren't there any concrete counterexamples?
