Rolls-Royce RR4

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Rolls-Royce RR4 is a new, smaller ultra-luxury saloon automobile from Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Limited. The 'RR4' designation is only the internal codename for the car; the final production name for the car has yet to be revealed. The car will most probably be based on BMWs F01 platform that will also underpin the next generation 7 series. The platform itself is said to be flexible enough to allow the car to have a wheelbase, roof height, bonnet height and track widths all of its own. Other bits and pieces will also be shared with the BMW but will be packaged in a way that the owner would not notice this. The engine is rumored to be either a twin-turbo V8 or a V12 tuned to produce number below that of the Phantom.[1]
