The Rolls-Royce Buzzard was a piston aero engine of 36.7 litres capacity generating about 600 kW (800 hp). It had 12 cylinders in a 'V' configuration of 6 inch bore and 6.6 inch stroke. It was manufactured in the 1920s, but only 100 were sold mostly for racing 1. It was also referred to as the 'H' engine, which was developed into the Schneider Trophy engine the 'R'. It was developed by scaling-up the Kestrel in the ratio of 5:6².
