Rold Gold

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Rold Gold is the name of a brand of pretzels, now owned by Frito-Lay. The original company started in 1917.

Frito Lay purchased Rold Gold in 1999. While on-bag advertising states that Rold Gold is "America's No. 1 Pretzel," when measured by total dollar sales in the United States, Rold Gold is currently the #2 pretzel brand behind Snyder's of Hanover.[citation needed]

In 2006, ROLD GOLD won the award for best taste among leading pretzels by the professional chefs of American Culinary.[citation needed]
