Roland Vaxelaire is a Belgian businessman, with a career in the food supply chain.

He obtained a MBA from the University of Chicago (Chicago, United States).

Between 1982 and 2002, he held senior management positions at Nestlé USA, Sopad-Nestlé France, the Danone group (Kronenbourg, Evian, Alken-Maes) and at GIB (Grand Bazar, Inno(vation), Bon Marché). Roland Vaxelaire is the Quality, Responsibility & Risk Management Director for the Carrefour Group and President of Carrefour Belgium, and he is also the Permanent Delegate for the Carrefour Group in relation to the European Institutions. He is a member of the European Retail Round Table (ERRT) and he is chairman of the Environmental Committee of Eurocommerce. In addition he is a board member of the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), and a member of the Belgian businessclub Cercle de Lorraine.
