Roland Scholten (born January 11, 1965 in The Hague) is a Dutch darts player and former publican who, with partner Raymond Van Barneveld, won the PDC World Pairs Darts Championship at Bognor Regis in 1997. He is nicknamed "Tripod" and now plays his darts for the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) having turned full time professional in 2001. Roland lived in Peterborough for several years which is the reason for his strong Midlands accent.

Scholten won the Budweiser UK Open in June 2004, his first major PDC trophy. His scoring and consistent technique have led others to refer to him as a major threat in recent years. His considerable height and throwing technique means his darts hit the board at a considerably narrow angle. A "poker faced" player, he is known somewhat for his lack of emotion on the oche.

Scholten reached the final of the 2006 Premier League, and is currently ranked 9th in the PDC. He has also won a PDC UK Open tournament.

Scholten's entrance music is Chelsea Dagger by The Fratellis

Scholten has reputedly been happily married for 20 years to Anna Van Troost, a childhood sweetheart, also from the Hague in the Netherlands.
