Roland S. Martin

Roland S. Martin, born November 14, 1968, is an American author and syndicated columnist with Creators Syndicate, and radio talk show host. He is also author of the book, Speak, Brother! A Black Man's View of America (2002, ISBN 0-9719107-0-7).

He is the former executive editor of the Chicago Defender. Martin hosts a morning radio talk show on WVON in Chicago. In March 2007, Martin joined CNN as a contributor.[1]

Martin graduated from Texas A&M University in 1991 and is pursuing a master's degree in Christian Communication at Louisiana Baptist University, an unaccredited, primarily religious institution.[2] He is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha, the first intercollegiate Greek-letter fraternity established for African Americans.[3]
