Roland Risser is the Director for Customer Energy Efficiency at Pacific Gas and Electric Company, one of the largest energy utilities in the United States. Mr. Risser is responsible for managing PG&E’s energy efficiency, low income, and demand response programs, which have an annual budget of over $300 million. He has been a regular media and conference commentator on energy efficiency progress and goals, carbon offsets, and hybrid cars.[1]

The American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy (ACEEE) recently recognized sixteen of PG&E’s energy efficiency programs as “exemplary programs” or “honorable mentions” as part of a national awards ceremony.[2] PG&E, which has a thirty year history of administering energy efficiency programs, recently calculated that for every dollar spent on energy efficiency measures, customers saved $2 on their energy bills.[1]
