Gutierrez is successful keyboardist/songwriter/producer who was born in Corpus Christi, Texas but was raised in a small town known as Robstown, Texas. Rolando (also known by his peers as RoRo) started his career at the age of 13, and cut his teeth performing in small local bands in his home town. He would soon tour with major artist's like DJ Kane, Jennifer Pena Y Los Jetz, Chris Perez Band & Paula DeAnda, and would produce music for acts like A.B. Quintanilla III, Thalía, Cristian Castro & others in which two albums would go on to receive Latin Grammy Nominations.

  • Roland was the first homecoming king at his high school at Robstown in 1993.
  • He was also the 1993 Prom king as well.
  • His first band was the last to tour with the late Selena Y Los Dinos.
  • At one point in 1995 A.B. Quintanilla & Roland were planning on forming a group together.
  • Roland's older brother Robert "Shy-Boy" Gutierrez was one of the co-founders of the Tejano supergroup, Grupo Estrella.
  • At another point, the super group MDO (band) was searching for Roland at ask him to be one of the lead singers in the group but at the time roland was already playing for the Chris Perez Band.
