Roland Bautista

Roland Bautista is a guitar player who has played in the band Earth, Wind & Fire, and later on has been performing with Tom Waits. In the meantime he released at least two solo albums: "Baustista" (1977) and "The Heat Of The Wind" (1978). He also contributed to Jazz albums on Blue Note Records, as guitar player for "Ronnie Laws Band".

His contributions to Tom Waits' albums are:

1978: Blue Valentine (electric guitar) 1980: Heartattack And Vine (electric guitar, 12-string guitar)

A masterpiece with Tom Waits is "In Shades" on the album "Heartattack And Vine"

He returned to EWF in 1981 replacing member Al McKay until 1983 when the group disbanded.
