[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Australian50centcoin1970 from commons.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Australian50centcoin1970 from commons.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 14:14, 9 September 2007 (UTC)

I think you would be delighted to see that the article you started, Russia-United Kingdom relations, looks really good now. M.V.E.i. 21:34, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Modern Rationalism

I have proded 'Modern Rationalism', as it has been pretty much orphaned and ignored since it was started, and I don't think that the concept is used in this way or useful anymore. If you think I am wrong about this, do leave a message on the articles talk page and remove the prod. Anarchia 04:46, 22 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Russia-United Kingdom relations

The hardest thing is to start an article. The start version usually serves as a base for the rest of the evolution course of the article. Your start version was exellent, so it was really easy to take it up in the evolution course. P.S. It will look really good if you create a section of articles you started on your user page. Hello, please allow me to congratulate you on your image here. Thanks for uploading Image:City of Blacktown coat of arms.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. [edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Fatelords logo computer game.gif

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Fatelords logo computer game.gif. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Till 1657/1660 the Duchy of Prussia was - as a fief- part of the Kingdom of Poland. The elector of Brandenburg was till 1660 a vasal of the polish king and as a lord of brandenburg a vasal of the german emperor. Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Overseas, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. [edit] Image:Palestine_election_map.PNG

It appears you are the creator of Image:Palestine_election_map.PNG. Thanks for the good job, I just wanted to note that the map appears to be wrong in one respect. As far as I can see, there shouldn't be any dark green areas in East Jerusalem, since there is no formal control of the Palestinian Authority anywhere in East Jerusalem. Hi Astrokey, I've noted you made the map on the countries boycotting in the 1976, 1980, and 1984 olympics. Since I've mended and sourced the list of 1980 boycotting countries (in particular placing the countries previously not listed), could you provide to correcting the map if you find some time? Thanks,--Aldux (talk) 19:42, 24 February 2008 (UTC)

Hi Astrokey44. You may be interested to know that there are a number of new LGAs coming into effect in Queensland on 15 March 2008. See Local Government Areas of Queensland. As you did a wonderful job with maps for the old LGAs I though I would ask to see if you were interested in creating maps for the new LGAs as weel as revising the statewide map. There is of course no hurry and if you can't help then that is cool too. I have tried to set up a co-ordination section of AWNB here if you wish to contribute. [edit] Gunnmap, User:Aaaarg, and Map recommendation

Hello, since user:Aaaarg seems abscent from Wikipedia, can you introduce a little this interesting application (Gunnmap) :

  1. Where to download ? -> answer/the link http://gunn.co.nz/map/GunnMap.air is empty.
  2. Is it easy to use ? -> answer, need it special skills, software, Linux/Window ?
  3. are the sources free and available ? -> Link: http://gunn.co.nz/map/ AMAZING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just cry one hour when I discovered that I can't save the final product ; Available: I think Arthur was making this also to promote his website and father business. Don't care: I perfectly agree to support the business of people making a such amazing and generous job ! But I note that he will probably not share the code (for a such huge and hight quality work, I honestly can't request him to free his code). So, his current soft displaying to much parametres/possibilities, we (/I? O.o) will have to give him many feedback/request to get the option "Make gradiant map according to Wikipedia standard".

I finnally found myself more information than expected. The most important now seem to know : do you still have an GunnMap.air file ? User:Yug 08:03, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

Simply answer here, I will be back soon or late. Yug 08:37, 16 March 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 220.135.4.212 (talk)

Hi everyone, sorry for my absence.

You can get the offline version from http://gunn.co.nz/map/GunnMap.air.zip The offline version allows you to save the maps in PNG and SVG form. Note that currently the generated SVGs can only be read by a small number of apps. I should be able to fix this in a later version. Last time I checked Wikimedia was able to handle them okay, however I would still recommend PNGs.

The app requires Adobe AIR. There are Mac OS and Windows versions which can be download from http://get.adobe.com/air/ . There is also a Linux alpha available at http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/air/ .

I'm currently planning another version with an improved interface and some new features, so feel free to give me suggestions or requests.
