Rokin Footwear based in Gothenburg, Sweden, is a footwear brand founded in 2006. The company takes it name from a major street in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The Pigeon is a licensed logotype and a classic symbol for peace and love, but also a provocative and in-your-face part of city life.^[1]

The former Swedish designer of Tommy Hilfiger Footwear Christoffer Brattin wanted to create a business of his own. During his pre Hilfiger years he was designing apparel for snow, skateboard and technical outdoor brands. He founded Rokin Footwear in Gothenburg, Sweden, early 2006 with an ambition to create a worldwide business of footwear and apparel. Together with his former colleges and now new partners the Rokin Footwear S.L. Spain was founded, the headquarter for distribution, logistics and production. ^[2]

Rokin Footwear produces a wide range of shoes making it possible for everyone to find a favorite, regardless of age or style. ^[3] Inspired by the 70’s and 80’s subcultures Rokin Footwear launched their first collection during the fall/winter season 2007, 66 models blended with an update and branded with their own clear signature to attract today’s fashion conscious male. ^[4] It’s a thin line between what’s regarded as a classic and what has the younger and updated look. All design and creative direction is supervised from the creative office in Sweden. To meet the customers high standards regarding quality and comfort Rokin Footwear use authentic leathers, materials and components, and their suppliers and partners are chosen for their heritage in shoe-making and genuine craftsmanship. Rokin Footwear produces all of their shoes in Europe due to ethical, environmental and quality reasons. ^[6]
