[edit] Thank You

I personally thank you for adding the infobox to the KBC article. Since the launch of KBC3, I've pretty much done most of the article myself; not many people have been making major contributions to the article so I thank you once again for contributing to make the article better. I appreciate it lots :D --Bhavesh Chauhan 02:37, 10 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Line Integral

Its my pleasure to make that animation - probably the most useful thing I've put on wikipedia. I had no idea what a line integral was for the longest time, but when I finally figured it out, that was the picture in my head. Fresheneesz 19:08, 8 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Autodesk new white on black.png)

Thanks for uploading Image:Autodesk new white on black.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 04:01, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Camping lms ut2004.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Camping lms ut2004.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. [edit] Image:Simple-manip-mathematica-png.png

Hello, Rohan2kool. Thank you for uploading Image:Simple-manip-mathematica-png.png; it is really an improvement upon Image:Simplemanipulate.jpg in many ways. Unfortunately, there is some confusion about the licensing situation of these two images. The original JPEG image was tagged as being freely licensed under the GFDL, whereas your newly uploaded PNG image is currently tagged as a non-free software screenshot. There is an ongoing discussion at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree images/2008 January 21#Image:Simplemanipulate.jpg about whether the editors who made these two screenshots can release them under a free license, or whether they contain too many copyrighted interface elements and thus must be used only in accordance with the non-free content policy. At the moment it seems likely to me that there is an insufficient number of copyrighted interface elements in these images (especially in yours, which crops out the window outline) to prohibit the uploaders from releasing the images under a free license. If this is the case, if Wolfram Research has no grounds for a copyright claim on these images, then you should release your image under a free license. I invite you to participate in the discussion so we can iron this out. Let me know if you have any questions. —Bkell (talk) 07:22, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Camping lms ut2004.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Camping lms ut2004.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 19:13, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
