Rohloff AG

The Rohloff AG is a German company from Fuldatal near to Kassel. Founded in 1986 it gained reputation for the production of a high-tech and very expensive bicycle chain (SLT 99). The company’s logo is a fully shaped black silhouette of a raven on a yellow background.
Next to the chain special bike tools are produced, like e. g. the chain riveting tool "Rohloff Revolver" as well as measurement tools for chains "Caliber", for sprockets "HG-IG Check", an automatic chain lubrication system "Lubmatic" and a biodegradable chain lubricant "Oil of Rohloff". Especially in high performance bicycle sports Rohloff products are valued highly for their grand functioning ability, high durability, and long life span.
Each year Rohloff produces approx. 15.000 gear hubs (stated 2006). The SPEEDHUB 500/14 is the only bicycle hub with 14 gears, which can replace a regular chain derailleur system.
