[edit] Re: Mithraism
Not at all, thanks for asking. Not being an expert in either Mithraism or Christianity, I tried not to stray from the material that already existed in the article. I was just attempting to clarify some issues I thought were awkward reading in the "Similarities to Christianity" section of the article. --Aelffin 15:45, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Your edit to Anno Domini#Popularization
You added the statement "Most Syriac manuscripts written at the end of the 19th century still gave the date in the end-note using the "year of the Greeks" (Anno Graecorum = Seleucid era)."
Can you provide a source for this statement? --Gerry Ashton 02:01, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
- Perhaps you could give a reference to the article by Addai Scher in Journal Asiatique? --Gerry Ashton 00:01, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
-
- Perhaps you could rephrase the statement in the article in a away that Scher would support it, and then cite Scher. Something like "Examples of late 19th century can be found that still gave the date in the end-note using the "year of the Greeks" (Anno Graecorum = Seleucid era)." --Gerry Ashton 19:23, 14 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Meriol Trevor
There needs to be a page about Meriol Trevor, a catholic writer. I have no idea what else to link it to, tho. Roger Pearse 18:54, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
Amazingly someone deleted it while I was still writing it. I wish I could find out who so I could ask them why they did such a thing. I didn't know people could do that in Wikipedia anyway. Roger Pearse 19:18, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
Apparently it was Gwen Gale.
[edit] Your recent edits
Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 16:08, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Footnotes
Thanks for the interesting notes to Gugliemo Sirleto. I've tweaked them into standard footnote form. Charles Matthews (talk) 09:07, 7 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Pooftahs
Great, I did. And you really are on the wrong track by thinking you can repeatedly put the word 'pooftahs' on my talk page with the intention of using it as a weapon to insult me as it really makes no difference to me. You can refer to me as you like; the point I have been repeatedly been making is that contributors need to exercise polite restraint when discussing or contributing to articles. Not my rules, but wikipedia rules. Why not check them out. You could have used the word 'homosexuals' when talking about cardinals, but you deliberately chose a derogatory word that you knew was intended to demean. And do spare me the response - I think I can guess what it is. Contaldo80 (talk) 08:56, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
