Talk:Roger de Busli
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The whole second paragraph is VERY dubious. How would a Norman marry another Norman in Tichill c1060, i.e. 6 years before the Norman Conquest? The genealogy website links are also dubious. For Sieur De Busli, it states that spouses and children are unknown, so how can it also say that Roger de Busli is his son? Some more reliable sources needed here. The mispelling is direct from the genealogy site, which also omits capital letters from some place names, suggesting that is not a reliable source at all. Emeraude 13:35, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
- You are exactly right. The genealogy websites are notoriously unreliable. Although much about Roger de Busli is unknown, he was one of the major tenants of William I, and there is a great deal of documentation about him. I will try to flesh this out when I get a chance. Thanks for pointing it out.MarmadukePercy (talk) 18:27, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
