Talk:Roger Wilkins
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
[edit] African American
I feel compelled to say that I was appalled and dumbfounded to find that this article somehow made no mention whatsoever of the very salient fact that Roger Wilkins is an African American. Seriously, I am still shaking my head in disbelief -- it is simply inconceivable and inexplicable that this very essential piece of information could have been left out of his biography. I have now remedied the situation, along with adding the article to several relevant new categories.
I haven't got the time to go back through the entire history of edits to see if it was formerly mentioned and then expunged from the article -- or if it just never occurred to anybody that it needed to be stated. Whatever the case, as far as I'm concerned, it is nothing less than disgraceful for Wikipedia to have articles about notable African American figures that never inform the reader that the individual is, in fact, African American. This was not the first such article, I've seen more than a few others.
Please, fellow editors -- don't allow this to happen again. Cgingold (talk) 14:01, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
