Roger Schawinski

Roger Schawinski (Born Zurich 11 June 1945) is a well known Swiss journalist and entrepreneur as well as the creator of a highly successful Swiss consumer watch dog program show called "Kassensturz".

He founded a private radio station called "Radio 24" and also launched a nationwide television channel called Tele 24.

In 2003 he gained international status when he joined the German Television network "Sat. 1" and became the managing director for next three consecutive years.

In Switzerland he is widely regarded as an innovator who is not afraid to speak out his mind. He has a PHD. in economics, wrote several books and is known to be a keen runner.

Roger Schawinski pre-launched "Radio 1" on 14th January 2008 and will go onAir with it on March 17, 2008. "Radio 1" will be the first radio station especially devoted to music and tastes for the 30'-60'ies.
