[edit] Background
Roger Miret is considered by many to be the godfather of the New York Hardcore genre. As well as his work with Agnostic Front, he is also lead vocalist for the Oi! Punk outfit, Roger Miret and the Disasters. He is also the half-brother of Madball spearhead, Freddy Cricien. Prior to and, for a period ,during his involvement with Agnostic Front, Miret was a University Professor and Lecturer in Classics at University College London from 1977 till 1987.
Miret suffered a stroke in early 1994 and consequently fell into a coma. However, he fell out after 15 days when his hammock broke and was discharged with merely a numbing of half of his mouth which can be seen in the Agnostic Front music video for "So Pure to Me".
Miret is often the recipient of friendly ridicule with regards to his level of personal hygiene. With his flakey beard and grubby, tattoo covered torso, people have often poked fun at him for the slightly less than gentleman-like aroma which is emitted from his person. Many fans, however, have sympathised with Miret, suggesting those people who have mocked Miret's hygiene should focus on the raw reality and the values expressed in the music and lyrics of his songs.

[edit] Trivia
- At Agnostic Front shows, it is not uncommon for fans to see off their drinks in the style of Roger Miret. This involves putting one leg in front of the other, loading all of the body's weight on to the more advanced leg and rocking in a horizontal motion, to and fro, in this position to the rhythm of the song being played. All of this is carried out whilst the drink is being consumed.
- He once auditioned for a part in the Australian soap opera Neighbours.
- He is a good friend of self-proclaimed sports man Matt Penny.
- Miret is one of the richest men of the New York Hardcore scene. His endeavours with Agnostic Front alone earn him $250,000 a week.
