Rodrigo López Muñoz (born December 14, 1975 in Tlalnepantla, Mexico) is a free agent Major League starting pitcher. López joined the Orioles in 2002 where he became a pitcher going 15–9 in the process and was runner up for AL Rookie of the Year. [1] 2003 was a disappointment for López, as he went 7–10 in an injury-marred campaign. In 2004, he was moved to middle relief but pitched his way into the starting rotation. That year, his record was 14–9. Lopez underwent Tommy John surgery on August 22, 2007, and became a free agent at the end of the season.
