Rodney Clarke is a bass-baritone opera singer of Jamaican origin.

Clarke was educated at Dulwich College between 1989 and 1996.[1] After leaving the College he studied at the Royal Academy of Music where he sang Buonafede Il mondo della luna and Forester Vixen (conducted by Mackerras).[2] Whilst at the Royal Academy he was the winner of the Richard Lewis/Jean Shanks Award 2001 and recipient of a Peter Moores Scholarship. After his time at the Royal Academy, Clarke's operatic engagements have included:
- Ferryman Curlew River (BBC Proms directed by Graham Vick),
- Thoas Iphigénie en Tauride (WNO),
- Flashmob – The Opera (A BBC2 film),
- Junius The Rape of Lucretia (British Youth Opera),
- Schmidt Palace in the Sky (ENO Baylis), and
- Mozart's Figaro (English Touring Opera),
He also appeared at Glyndebourne and the Théâtre de Châtelet where he was conducted by another alumni of the Royal Academy of Music, Simon Rattle and has given recitals at the Purcell Room and the National Portrait Gallery[4]
Rodney Clarke also appeared in the film version of The Magic Flute directed by Kenneth Branagh.[5]
