Roderick Macdonald was principal trumpet of the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra from 1989 to 2005.[1]
Mr. Macdonald is founding member of the Leipzig Baroque Soloists.[citation needed]
In 1989, Mr. Macdonald was hired by Kurt Masur as a member of one of the world's oldest symphony orchestras.[2]
He is presently Associate Professor of Music at State University of New York.
