Rod Jones (born Roderick Ewan Pryce-Jones, 3 December 1976 in Leeds, England) is a guitarist in and founding member of the indie band, Idlewild.
He is the son of classical musician, John Pryce-Jones [1].
He is an energetic live performer, and his guitar playing has been described as "gritty yet melodic".[2] He also takes on the role of backing vocals for the group.
He has recorded an album with singer Inara George, which is called George is Jones after the duo, and which was due for release in the autumn of 2006.[3] However the project is currently on hiatus.
2006 also saw Jones collaborate with Idlewild bandmate Roddy Woomble, for Woomble's solo album, My Secret is My Silence.
