Rod Davis (born April 2, 1981) is an American football linebacker who, as of 2008 plays for the Philadelphia Soul[1]. He previously played in the NFL for Minnesota Vikings and Carolina Panthers[2]. In 2002, he won the Conerly Trophy as the best college football player in the state of Mississippi. He attended East Ward Elementary where he played next to fellow stand out Syniker Taylor, Leroy Taylor and Anthony Fant. He went on to play at Central Junior High and Gulfport High where to star for the Admirals, before he went to college to star for Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles.
