Rod Carter

Rod Carter (born October 29, 1954) is a former Australian rules footballer who played from 1974 until 1990. By the end of his career he was just 7 short of joining the 300 club. A defender, Carter kicked just the one goal in his 16 seasons of football.

Carter spent his first 6 years with the now defunct Fitzroy Lions before joining South Melbourne. He joined the club in it's move to Sydney in 1982.

Currently, Carter teaches Physical Education at Sydney Technical High School. He is also the current head of the SRC. He has a three year old child named Angus, A twelve year old child named Nathan and a daughter, Kaitlin.
