Rod Austin (born January 26, 1953) is a former Australian rules footballer who played as a defender for the Carlton Blues from 1972 until 1985.
Austin won a premiership with Carlton in 1979 and after retiring as a player he became a coach. He started his coaching career with Footscray Reserves, leading them to the premiership in 1988. The following season he coached Fitzroy and remained at the club until the end of 1990.
