Notices,

Thanks for your reply Rocksanddirt. I have thought about the topic a lot, it would make an interesting discussion. I hope you don't mind me pointing this out, but you appear to be making a presumption also. It is not the issue I raised in my post though. If I caused some confusion with my remarks, please let me know. It is about conduct and tone in the statements made, at that project. I happen to be a bit busy at the moment, unless you had a quick query it may take a while for me to respond. Thanks for your time. Cheers, ☻ Fred|discussion|contributions 17:50, 13 July 2007 (UTC)

Thank you, I will sign up at the project now. It is challenging stuff, but well presented facts make articles much less susceptible to POV pushing. They also serve the reader. I will see you around the project then, thanks again for your reply. Regards, ☻ Fred|discussion|contributions 18:15, 13 July 2007 (UTC)
You are correct. I was operating under a misaprehension, I thought this was a wikiproject. It is a 'guideline'. Isn't that a bit odd? How does one 'join' this, or does one contribute as one sees fit? The guideline seems to be a rehash of existing policy, fair enough, but it needs to simple. That is, if the activity surrounding these subpages is straightforward. What is the difference to the normal community processes, one need not have much imagination to see the hazards that might arise from a small group managing a topic. I suspect the usual combination of testosterone, elitism, bluff, unilateralism, and the spirited kameraderie of a deletion frenzy will come to the fore. Others, including new editors would probably be driven off. Like reverting editors and not advising them of why or what to do next. Pretty distasteful stuff, I will therefore avoid it. Thanks for you messages, sorry for my confusion. I hope we meet under better circumstances next time. I'm popping back to the eighteeneth century.
