These two articles cover the same geopgraphical feature, so should be merged. I think the best title is this one. ww2censor (talk) 05:22, 7 April 2008 (UTC)

The two articles refer to different but related things. Rockall Bank and Trough refers to the present-day bathymetric feature, whereas the Rockall Basin refers to the mainly Mesozoic Sedimentary basin that underlies the trough. This distinction is also made in the official Irish nomenclature from the Petroleum Affairs Division of the Irish government. My view is that they should remain separate. Surely those distinction can be made clear in one longer article? They are related and as such should be in one related article. Right now there are two rather short articles that are barely more than stubs and casual editors are more likely to find one article of greater value than being split up as they are now. One good article covering everything to do with Rockall would, in my opinion, serve the community better. Think about it. Cheers ww2censor (talk) 16:22, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
