Rockville Township is one of the six original townships Kankakee County, Illinois. The population was 786 at the 2000 census. in Kankakee County. The township's name may have been derived from a Potawatomi village known to the pioneers as Rock Village.
It is located at 41.241731 N, -87.953910 W. It has 94.24 km² (36 sq mi). (36.39 square miles) of land and 0.609 km². (0.24 square miles) covered by water. It has 275 housing units.

The township is governed by an elected Town Board of a Supervisor and four Trustees. The Township also has an elected Assessor, Clerk, Highway Commissioner and Supervisor. The Township Office is located at 11505 North 3500 West Road, Manteno, IL 60950.
