A rockumentary podcast is a digital music product similar to a traditional rockumentary but packaged in podcast form.
The term was coined in 2005 by Brinkley Warren & Mike Ewing in regards to ATHCAST[1], the Athens Music Podcast.
ATHCAST is produced by the Athens Music Foundation, a music non-profit officially launched on October 31, 2006.
ATHCAST episodes are composed of high-quality live music recordings, concert pictures, videos, interactive links, and band and fan interviews.
The podcast series is produced by volunteers as a way to preserve the unique heritage of the Athens, GA music scene and encourage music education beyond the school years.
