Rockdale County High School is located in the heart of Conyers, Georgia in the old-town district. It hosts Rockdale Magnet School for Science and Technology within. RMSST is a renowned school and has been recognized in January 2007 as having the most Math awards in Georgia, and got 6th place in the nation recently on an Internet based math contest.
The schools mascot is the Bulldog. There are approximately 1600 students enrolled.

Rockdale is a part of the GHSA in Region 8-AAAA. The athletic teams have worked hard to get to the point they're at today. The teams have gone through many phases of good and bad seasons. Winning several state championships in Basketball and Wrestling. The other athletics such as competition cheerleading, cross country, and basketball have collected their fair share of awards. Rockdales soccer has held a tradition of excellence. Both the girls and boys teams have attended state playoffs almost every year for the past 10 years.

Rockdale is heavily involved and supportive of the arts. It is a Grammy school of excellence and strives to create superb masterpieces of theater and music. The school has won many awards at Regional and State One-Act competitions. The literary team often places high in the region and in 2003 won the regional title. The boys quartet went on from this win to win the State title. In 2007, the Advanced Musical Theater Class took Ragtime to One Act Competition, and won first place. After winning 1st place at regional, they later went on to take 3rd place at State, beating performing arts schools. Say something about the band.

Rockdale County High school is home to the prestigious Rockdale Magnet School for Science and Technology. It was opened in 2000, to provide a rigorous high school curriculum for the youth in Rockdale County. To enter the school you must apply and be accepted. This process is very tough because the school only lets in approximately 50 students a year. To date the school has had wide spread success. The average SAT score is well above 1300 out of 1600. The college scholarship amount exceeds 3 million annually. In 2005 it was actually greater than the other 3 high schools in the county's total, which is quite astounding considering Magnet has 30 students and the other high schools have close to 300 graduating. More recently honors are 13 perfect math scores on the SAT and 9 perfect math ACT scores.
Each year the school sends around 10 students to Metz, France to aid high school students with their science projects. This is through a partnership with Georgia Tech, and specifically their Lorraine campus.
