Rock ninja

A series of popular concert reviews that ran regularly in the SF Weekly newspaper. The series began in 2003 and spread virally through the internet with the articles being featured on various sites and blogs.
In this series a ninja would attend concerts and review them. They were written as a first-hand account of a modern day ninja that lived in Chinatown in San Francisco, in a crowded apartment with his wise grandfather.
The final Rock Ninja! piece was a meeting backstage with the Beastie Boys, the series ran for two years, but stopped in 2004. The creator of this piece was later revealed to have been Todd Lamb, an American writer for magazines and short films.
Readers have written in, but no more Rock Ninja! pieces have appeared in the paper.
