Rochester Community High School

Rochester Community High School is located in Rochester, Indiana.

The school mascot is the zebra. The school is a member of the TRC(Three Rivers Conference-Manchester, Northfield, North Miami, Rochester, Southwood, Tippecanoe Valley, Wabash, Whitko). In every sport except for football the school is ranked 3A, for football it is only 2A. The school principal is Mr. Daniel Ronk, and the head teacher is Mrs. Jana Vance. The school newspaper is "Zebra Tales" and the school yearbook is called "Manitou Ripples". Starting the 2007-2008 school year RHS will become a "New Tech" high school. This means that assignments are project and technology based. Also starting with the 2007-2008 school year all RCS(Rochester Community Schools) will be on a balanced calendar. This means students will go to school for nine weeks and have two weeks off throughout the school year. The first of the two weeks off is an inter-session period where students that need help still attend school for extra help. There are a variety of clubs and sports for students to take part in. The clubs/activities are-Art Club, Band, Bowling Club, Calculus Club, Chess Club, Class Officers, Dance Team, Environmental Club(P.E.A.C.E), F.C.A., F.C.C.L.A., F.F.A., German Club, Key Club, National Honor Society, Peer Helpers, PEP, Problem Solvers, School Newspaper(Zebra Tales), School Yearbook(Manitou Ripples), Spanish Club, Student Council, Tri-Epsilon(Drama), and Vocal Music. The sports are- Cheerleading, Cross Country, Football, Girls/Guys Golf, Girls Soccer, Girls/Guys Tennis, Girls Volleyball, Track, Baseball, Girls Softball, Girls/Guys Basketball, Swimming, Wrestling, and Interscholastic Athletics.
