Roccavione is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Cuneo in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 90 km south of Turin and about 9 km southwest of Cuneo. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,848 and an area of 19.6 km².[1]
Roccavione borders the following municipalities: Borgo San Dalmazzo, Boves, Roaschia, Robilante, Valdieri.
The mountain-town has a very interesting historical background. It is also known as "the Alps' gate".
