Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. You have been blocked from editing for a period of 12 hours in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for violating the three-revert rule . Please be more careful to discuss controversial changes or seek dispute resolution rather than engaging in an edit war. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below. - Philippe | Talk 00:48, 5 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] The reason you were blocked

The community has failed to establish a consensus to move Côte d'Ivoire to Ivory Coast - past discussions for that are here. Côte d'Ivoire is the correct name, and a redirect from Ivory Coast works perfecly well for people who don't know the exact spelling.

It is strongly recommended that you discuss before attempting contentious moves such as this again. Else you will just end up with another (longer) block. Also, we rename articles by using the "move" button, not by cut and pasting, as moving retains the edit history. —Moondyne 01:39, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
