Thanks for uploading Image:Jane Barry in 2007.JPG. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:20070415 0099.JPG. The copy called Image:20070415 0099.JPG has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.
This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 21:15, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Notability of Jane Barry
A tag has been placed on Jane Barry requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. WebHamster 21:16, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Jane Barry
I hope you don't mind me sticking my nose into the article, especially as I originally requested it be deleted. Currently it does have the makings of a decent article but in order to make sure it isn't deleted for lack of notability (which currently it doesn't) there needs to be more reliable, substantial and non-trivial 3rd party references directly to her and the work she does (not necessarily to her writings). A few "mentioned in dispatches" sort of things. Write-ups on her in the press, or related media (not blogs or websites of that sort). There's no desperate rush as the AFD takes a minimum of 5 days to run its course (at least not with a case like this one where it won't take much to meet WP:BIO). --WebHamster 23:26, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
