[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:BobAndDolly.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:BobAndDolly.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 04:31, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Your recent edits

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button Image:Signature_icon.png located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 15:16, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Chunky Creek Train Wreck of 1863

You need to do more to paraphrase the words taken from your two source articles. At the moment the article hovers precipitously close to being a copyright violation. --Tagishsimon (talk) 19:22, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

All do more to paraphrase the source ... I just created the stub article for the sake of having the knowledge itself available. Rob (talk)

[edit] Martha Masters

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Martha Masters, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.marthamasters.com/biography.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 16:06, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

I addressed this problem and added citations. Rob (talk) 16:39, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Choctaw

Hey Rob, sorry to have been so picky with Choctaw, it really is quite well done. I hope I haven't disillusioned you by leaving that ton of comments, it really is mostly small, easy-to-fix stuff, and most of it's not that important anyway. Definitely drop me a note if you need anything or if I can be of any help, I do hope you'll re-nominate it after dealing with the major stuff I brought up. Peace, delldot on a public computer talk 02:01, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for the input delldot ... I needed others to check out its viability. Rob (talk) 13:51, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Doaks-Stand.png

Thanks for uploading Image:Doaks-Stand.png. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by STBotI. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 13:59, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

Doaks-Stand.png is self made and I release it to public domain. Rob (talk) 14:03, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Treaty of Fort St. Stephens

A tag has been placed on Treaty of Fort St. Stephens, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the article and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. PMDrive1061 (talk) 15:42, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

*Please don't create single-sentence articles. If you'd like to create a stub, please read WP:STUB to learn what the minimum content should be. Thanks. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 15:51, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for expanding these. I see what you had in mind. Sorry to bother you.  :) --PMDrive1061 (talk) 15:50, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

Thanks, I'll expanded it more before before creating a single sentence article. Rob (talk) 15:56, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Treaty of Mount Dexter

I see you are more than capable of continuing with this (and your other) artilces, I will leave you to it. Carry on the good work. --Triwbe (talk) 15:53, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

Thanks, I'll expanded it more before before creating a single sentence article. Rob (talk) 15:55, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
No problem with the single sentence artice for me, it could have been contested on notability, but there was enough info (the name) for a simple web search to show it was a good candidate. --Triwbe (talk) 16:34, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Trail of Tears

I see you've done a lot of work separating the Cherokee Trail of Tears from the Trail of Tears. There is a difference in the dates for Cherokee removal between the first paragraph, which I think you added, and the Cherokee section further down the page. Since they are in a nice sequential order in the first paragraph I didn't edit them. However the 1838 date is well considered the correct date for the Cherokee removal. Odestiny (talk) 14:46, 30 April 2008 (UTC)

I have checked my resources and 1838 is the year when U.S. General Winfield Scott send about 7000 troops to remove the Cherokee. I'll indicated that year in the introduction.

[edit] Chickasaw additions

Thanks for adding a table about the Chickasaw treaties. It's good information, and it improves the article. However, we'll need to know your sources. Where did you find the information to make the table? Thanks! -kotra (talk) 22:14, 30 April 2008 (UTC)

Have added citations to the Chickasaw treaty section. Rob (talk) 14:43, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Proposed deletion of Gallery of Native Americans with facial hair

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Gallery of Native Americans with facial hair, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? J Milburn (talk) 19:21, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

I have added sources to justify the article's validity to remain as a source for all to use as it is indeed a rare subject. Rob (talk) 20:36, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] AfD nomination of Gallery of Native Americans with facial hair

I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Gallery of Native Americans with facial hair. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.
