[edit] Here's the list

The list of books is at User:Badbilltucker/Big Literary List & Notable Novels. Badbilltucker 00:52, 18 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Battle of Vyborg Bay

I can't be sure of this, but it looks to me like this article is a lot longer than a stub now. You might try to post something with the Military History Project to address this. Also, if you have any doubts about your own ability as a writer, you could certainly request peer review of it at the aame time. Badbilltucker 20:35, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

Oh, by the way, you'll notice that one the Bay of Vyborg page, the battle is listed as being a candidate for the Largest naval battle in history. That could probably be mentioned in the article itself. Badbilltucker 18:18, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Stubs go on the bottom

You ALWAYS put the stub template on the bottom of an article. It will appear in the same location in the final article as it does in the draft, and wikipedia practices indicate that they should always go at the end of an article. Badbilltucker 21:28, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Eliza Agnew

Take a look at the Eliza Agnew page and maybe you'll notice something wrong with it. Please make the necessary correction. Badbilltucker 15:07, 2 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Wausau, WI

When adding information about MSAs, please spell out the city name instead of abbreviating them, as you did with Wausau, WI instead of Wausau, Wisconsin. Cheers. --BaronLarf 18:53, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Its vs. It's

Hi, thanks for your contribution to the Alexandria, Indiana article. However, please take care to note the difference between it's and its - the word it's (with an apostrophe) is a contraction for it is. The word its (without an apostrophe) is a possesive adjective, as in his, hers, and its. Thank you! --Ghewgill 08:07, 12 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Project banners

I assume it's a mistake, but it looks like you're adding the wrong project banner to a bunch of articles. Can you go stop and go back and take care of that? Katr67 16:54, 24 August 2006 (UTC) Well, maybe not a bunch, but for sure on Corvallis, Oregon. Can you make sure you didn't do it anywhere else? Thanks. Katr67 16:57, 24 August 2006 (UTC)

You're welcome. Happy editing! Katr67 17:15, 24 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Nonexistant MSA

Earlier this month, you added to Cleona, PA "It is part of the Lebanon County, PA Metropolitan Statistical Area." However, there is no such MSA. I even checked the data. Last I knew, Cleona was part of the Harrisburg-Carlisle MSA, which I've more often heard referred to as the Harrisburg-Lebanon-Carlisle MSA (as made obvious by a Google search for "Harrisburg-Lebanon-Carlisle MSA"). In any case, there is no such MSA as Lebanon County, according to the data. Search4Lancer 05:32, 25 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Living Persons Bio template at Dehl Berti

I noticed you added the template for living persons biographies to the Dehl Berti page. I've been meaning to clean this up for a while, but this template is improperly placed. Dehl Berti died in 1991. TheQuandry 20:37, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Living persons

Remember one of the rules of wikipedia is to trust the original editor. Whether they specifically cite a source on a person's death or not, if the article lists that person at dead, then assume that the original writer was telling the truth unless you have specific evidence to the contrary. You can't classify someone as living simply because a specific source indicating his death in the article is not listed. You have to trust the original writer of the article, unless you have direct creditable knowledge to the contrary. Badbilltucker 19:31, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Clarification

Hi i noticed you added something to the Jason Shand page ?, as im new to this im wondering if it would be ok for you to give me a short explanation of it so I can understand it please :-) i think it was something involving "bigography". If you have any questions relating to the page feel free to ask me too, Im in regular contact with Jason and the page is still ongoing work in progress to upgrade the page with more information. (Tromsogirl 10:31, 4 September 2006 (UTC))

What is the differences between a Start and Stub page ? There is still more information to be put regarding Jason, when he emails me the information later in the week to be added. My main concern really until that information is put up is the page staying on wikipedia, given im new to this, and there was something put up when there was little information on a couple days ago saying the page maybe deleted within 5 days, Im just hoping now that more has been edited on if its guarenteed to stay up as a page now. As for start-stub categories im not sure how to edit them bits. (Tromsogirl 13:40, 6 September 2006 (UTC))

[edit] Minor edits

Just thought you should know that your work does not qualify as a minor edit, as you are adding content. Minor edits only apply to those which fix grammatical errors, etc. Cases when someone is adding content, such as you are doing, do not qualify as minor edits. You should instead put in a comment in the edit summary box indicating what it was that you added or changed. Going through your recent edits to indicate what you have done earlier, however, would probably be a waste of time.Badbilltucker 18:29, 6 September 2006 (UTC)

LIke I said before, just because you have the minor edit box not checked, you should still indicate in the edit summary box below the edit box what it is that you have done to the page in question. If you have some sort of auto-complete on, the machine will do after only a letter or two. But you are obligated to tell the potential originator of the page something about what you have done to their work, even if you have added to it. Something along the lines of "added details about MSA" would be enough. Badbilltucker 21:43, 6 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Start/Stub

If you think the Jason Shand page merits putting to a start page from a stub page then yeh you can do it, it might be wiser though left until after the weekend when hopefully more information shall be placed upon the page. Thanks for the info anyway :-) (Tromsogirl 21:11, 6 September 2006 (UTC))

[edit] Sockpuppets of TripleH1976

I strongly suspect that Editor Fighting for Justice, like 205.250.55.211 before him, is a sockpuppet of TripleH1976. I am basing this on their vandalism (both of them simply delete anything they don’t like, even if it is true and well-sourced, there’s no thought even of compromise), and on their personal attacks - see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Fighting_for_Justice and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Biographies_of_living_persons/Noticeboard#David_Westerfield.196.15.168.40 04:30, 23 October 2006 (UTC)

This user has it totally wrong. I give information for why I removed his edits. That does not make them vandalism His edits misrepresent the facts in order to make David Westerfield a victim. He puts words in people's mouth. If anything he is the vandal. Not only that they're using wikipedia to promote their agenda. I'm not a sockpuppet to anyone either. Fighting for Justice 06:02, 24 October 2006 (UTC)

Reply to Fighting for Justice:

Vandalism is vandalism, whether the vandal tries to justify their misbehavior or not, and your “reasons” - most of which consist simply of insults - are invalid. Even if the Westerfield article as a whole were neutral - which it’s NOT - I am trying to rectify one-sided or incorrect statements on specific topics.

By “putting words in people’s mouths”, I presume you are referring to your latest edit on the “Biographies of living persons” Noticeboard. But your claim there is WRONG: Watkins DID say “1%” himself, as I had already PROVED on your own Talk page. He had no choice as it was based on the figures which he himself had given! In other words, YOU are the one misrepresenting the facts.

My “agenda” is that the Westerfield article should be accurate and balanced, with evidence for and against - in other words, it should comply with Wikipedia neutrality rules. By contrast, your agenda is that the article should persuade readers that Westerfield is guilty, even if that means suppressing the truth.

If you are not a sockpuppet of TripleH1976, then you must be TripleH1976 himself, your edits are so similar to his.196.15.168.40 04:12, 27 October 2006 (UTC)

I don't care. The words "about 1%" is not emphatic enough. It leaves room that it could be more. You state it as if he were certain, while his words indicate he isn't fully certain. The article you reference does not have him saying such statement, combined with his uncertain words, you are lying to people. You have a lot of nerve. Even so child porn is reprehensible from 1% to a 1000%. Why you make excuses for it, I will never understand. But it is really disturbing. You are here to rectify squat! Your true intentions are whitewashing and making apologies for a child-killer. You enjoy ranting about the media and how hard they were on poor Westerfield; boo hoo <crying> <crying>. He only took a little girl from her bedroom; gosh don't be so hard on him. He only intended to borrow her for a few hours. <sarcasm> I often fear that you might be David Westerfield himself. The more I hear from you the sicker you make me. Fighting for Justice 04:59, 27 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] DYK

Updated DYK query On October 25, 2006, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article John Wilson Danenhower, which you created. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the "Did you know?" talk page.

[edit] Jackie Robinson

Hi there, I noticed your exhaustive work on the Jackie Robinson article. I did a good bit of work to the edits. While the information was well written, and often times, sourced, I did not feel it adhered to WP:5P. I have added this to my watch list, so if you would like to discuss it here or on Jackie's talk page, please feel free to do so! Happy editing. //Tecmobowl 05:12, 27 October 2006 (UTC)//

  • As a follow up to your question, I certainly think a brief comment about his first ever game against major league players is more than acceptable. However, I did not have anyway of sourcing that comment (ie...that it was his first). If you have a source, by all means put it in. I'm no expert here either, so just keep your head up and have fun with it.Tecmobowl 21:07, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
  • Hi there, I would ask that you look at some of the things that I, and others, have posted on the talk page for the Jackie Robinson article. I am not an admin, and don't want you to feel like what I say is law, but I think you've added an incredible amount of information to the article. While a good bit I believe should stay, much of it does not belong on an encyclopedia page. I would think the best thing to do would be to stop editing the article and engage in some discussion. I am tempted at this point to revert to an earlier version. // 03:45, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
  • Hi, I have copied your comments on my talk page to the robinson talk page. Let's keep the discussion there. Thanks. // Tecmobowl 04:32, 3 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Creating categories

Wow, I see you've been busy. I have had to nominate a couple of your new categories for deletion; please don't take it personally, but see WP:CFD and WP:SFD for details. In one case, the category had been recently renamed (Cat:Buildings and structures stubs and in the case of the film cats, the wording was ambiguous and the contents really belong on a list rather than having a category to themselves. Cheers, Pegship 12:03, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

As a follow-up, I'm guessing that you're perusing the Special:Wantedcategories list and creating the categories therein. However, there are many which were deleted or renamed after discussion at CFD, which should not be re-created. For example, I think there's a whole huge discussion about Wikipedia user categories at Wikipedia:User categories for discussion. So when you go to create something from the Wantedcategories list, would you please check the deletion log to see whether it's a re-creation of something, or check "what links here" to see if that redlinked category really links to any articles, or if it's only linked to discussion pages. Thanks a bunch - Pegship 17:36, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Query about Billings's "Africa"

Hello RobertJohnsonrj -

Can you please tell me what you've read concerning William Billings's song "Africa"? For example, have you read the editorial prefaces to the published versions of his work? Or Nathan Crawford's book on early American music? These are the sources I've used in editing this article.

My concern is that evaluation of song articles should, at least in principle, be done by knowledgeable editors, and your recent evaluation gives no indication of whether you know anything about the topic. Thanks in advance for your reply. Yours sincerely, Opus33 05:43, 11 November 2006 (UTC)

<RobertJohnsonrj replied on Opus33's talk page.>
Hello, RJ, thank you for your courteous reply. Can you identify where the policy you mention ("The criteria for assessment as per Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team/Assessment are intended to be applied from the viewpoint of someone who is not already familiar with the subject, but rather from the opinion of a newcomer.") is laid out? Thanks in advance. Yours truly, Opus33 15:34, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] talkheader

I see you are adding {talkheader} to coaster discussion pages. If it is your intention to add this to the talk pages of all coasters, why not simply add it to the {RollerCoasterProject} banner? Dddstone 16:08, 28 November 2006 (UTC)

I think you misunderstood my meaning. I was suggesting that you could add the {talkheader} to the RollerCoasterProject banner (once) and then it would appear on all project talk pages without having to manually add it to all coaster talk pages. I did just that with the KnotsProject banner (see Talk:Bowline for an example). Just trying to help. Dddstone 17:11, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
I added {talkheader} to the Template:RollerCoasterProject banner. Check Talk:Flying Turns (Knoebels) to see how it is automatically added to the talk page without having to enter {talkheader}. Now the {talkheader} will be on ALL RollerCoasterProject talk pages. Now we need to remove the (now duplicate) entries (see Talk:Speed (roller coaster)). I will start with the oldest. Dddstone 17:48, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
After looking at the sheer volume of {talkheader} additions that you have made (not all of which are documented in the edit summaries), I am not sure if I want to go through and remove all of the duplicates. Maybe I should try to do it using
