I am primarily a software developer by trade, training/education, and experience. After many years at a leading provider of mobile workforce management solutions, supplying companies in the energy, telecommunications, broadband, public safety, transportation, and field service industries, I am now the principal software developer / consultant / chief technologist of a local dot com. I have held a number of IT positions, including Programmer/Analyst, Engineering Team Lead, and Technical Manager, in addition to earlier stints in accounting, sales support, shipping and receiving, and inventory management.
My computing interests include:
- compiler construction
- configuration management
- data communications and networking
- geocoding and geolocation
- software maintenance
- software quality improvement
- user interface/interaction design
I am also a sales representative with a large brokerage in Toronto, expanding my domain knowledge to real estate.
Lastly, I have economic and/or related interests in:
- a furniture and home decor company
- publicly traded companies
- real estate in Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, and Hamilton
