[edit] Wrestling Career

Rob began his training back in late 2005, starting out with North East Based Wrestle-Zone Wrestling (wZw) under the tuition of Carl Turner (General Trent Steel) and 1PW star Iceman. Having taken a step in the right direction by training with a professional school to help aid his childhood dream of becoming a wrestler, Smith was upset to hear the school was closing down. However, the school was closing to the public, but was still a training facility for the current roster. Smith was asked to stay with the training school and continued to make the trip each week where he learned the basics in wrestling as well as learning the specifics of British Wrestling, in comparison with the American influences.

In 2006 Smith finally moved away from the company due to financial reasons and began training with TTP in Carlisle, Cumbria.

TTP gave Smith his first opportunity to perform infront of a live audience in February 2007 where he was defeated by Medallion at Manor Quay, Sunderland.

He continues to work for the promotion and has had many bouts for them, ranging from holiday camp shows right through to promoted events, facing opponents such as Darkside, "Dangerous" Damon Leigh and Martin Kirby.

He picked up his first victory Mid 2007 against former 3CW Champion Lance Thunder, one of his original tutors at wZw's training school, in front of his home town crowd.

As well as wrestling under the TTP Banner, Rob has since moved on to wrestler under the BCW and PBW Promotions, where he currently is feuding with BCW Promoter and Trainer "The Highlander" Colin McKay and "Wildcard" Kevin Andrews - The Highland Gunns. He has also made appearances for Real Deal Wrestling (RDW) and Real Quality Wrestling (RQW) where he was defeated by G-Man at "Not Just For Christmas".

Rob and his Manager-turned tag partner- "The Ideal Image" Scott Hunter formed Tag Team Project Excellence in November 2007 and appeared together at the BCW No Blood No Sympathy 5 event in a 30 man Royal Rumble for the BCW Championship. Both men were eliminated. Hunter suffered an injury which forced Cage to appear on his own for several shows.

[edit] Personal Life

As well as wrestling training on a weekly basis, Rob also studies at the University of Cumbria, carrying out a degree in Film and Television Production.
