    [edit] robinswrong.com

Is this section really necessary? It's a stub and looks like someone worked it in as as wiki ad =p 68.193.87.97 00:11, 26 February 2007 (UTC)

This section is NOT necessary, this is a biography of a living person, a little website that was mentioned on the air once does not warrant a section in her biography. LilDice 12:07, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
Actually, this website was mentioned quite a few times over a number of days and for at least a week was part of a running theme on the show relating to Robin's reaction and her accuracy on the show. Uptight WikiNerds(tm) strike again, apparantly. --206.223.180.110 11:48, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
I listen to the Stern show every day, it was mentioned a few times on the show, you really think it belongs in a person's biography? Please read the standards for the bio of a living person -- WP:BLP. LilDice 02:18, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
For the third time this year Robinswrong.com has been interviewed on the air by Steve Langford and will play a major part in the show involving Robin possibly being the cause of Artie leaving the show. The link is to stay in place.::—Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.97.54.242 (talkcontribs) 22:53, 31 May 2007
Please stop adding this link to the external links section. Wikipedia is not a repository of links. If you want the link included then submit it to Open Directory Project or Yahoo! Directory. Optigan13 23:06, 16 June 2007 (UTC)

    [edit] Martin Luther King

I believe Robin's father was a speechwriter who worked alongside MLK. This is from Robin on the show, talking about it with Howard, like 4 or 5 years ago, is where I heard about it. This would need someone to read her autobiography, which I don't have.--McDogm 04:15, 27 May 2005 (UTC)

That is not factually correct. Robin has mentioned on the show that she is a golfer, so that maybe what you are thinking of.

    [edit] Mr. X

Who is Mr. X??? Is his identity kept secret because he is a criminal?....Married....

Robin goes out enough for some Stern-head to know the answer to this....someone, please disclose who Mr. X is...

He's just a guy. She just doesn't want his name involved with the show.

You can find his name if you check the history of this article, early Dec. 2005-ish. I don't agree with whoever vandalized the article to keep it a secret. He's appeared on the show from time to time, that makes him a public person. Plus I've heard Howard slip and call him "Tony" on the show before. Mcasey666 20:20, 26 February 2006 (UTC)

At one time Mr X had a sensitive government job and did not wish to disclose his identity to the millions of listeners who tuned in to Stern's terrestrial shows. He has since retired, but the name Mr X has stuck. However, it has been revealed that his first name is Tony.

The date given for the end of the relationship with MR. X is incorrect, and we do not, in fact, know the correct date. The day cited is when she announced the end of the relationship, but she said it had ended roughly 6 months before then,—Preceding unsigned comment added by BrendanEff (talk • contribs) 19:41, 3 July 2007

    [edit] Lemon Fast

In the April 4th 2004 release of People Magazine, an article covered the method she used to lose 70 lbs. of weight. This method, created by naturopath Stanley Burroughs, is commonly known as the Master Cleanser regime (though many also refer to it simply as "lemonaid fast" or "lemon cleanse").

The regime calls for fasting as a way of ridding the body of toxins. In lieu of food, followers guzzle a concoction of fresh lemon juice, maple syrup, cayenne pepper and water.

"But this wasn't about weight loss," says Quivers, who traces her health problems to steroid-based medication that she took in 1989 to regulate her menstrual cycle."

"I was really trying to regain my health, and that's what it did."

    [edit] Unsupported statement

I removed the bit that said that since she's a black woman it's "arguably" made it more difficult for certain critics to say that the show is racist and misogynist. There is no citation for this, the critics are unspecified and the whole paragraph sounds vague and unverifiable. --Lee Hunter 02:04, 29 October 2006 (UTC)

    [edit] Cleanup

I'm not the person who originally put the 'cleanup' header on the article, but the article does need a reorganization. Right now information is just randomly interspersed in no particular order, and a few of the paragraphs are really about Howard Stern, not Robin. I'll reorg it at some point if no one else gets to it first. MGlosenger 12:07, 2 December 2006 (UTC)

Yeah I agree, it's a pretty bad, a woman who has had a distinguished career like hers deserves better than this. I'll see what I can do. Tofilmfan 09:37, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

    [edit] Military Rank

Does anyone have a source that she was a captain in the air force? I found another site that said she was a lieutenant ? --Center4499 13:45, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

If someone has her Book I'm sure they can find out for sure fairly easily. For the record, I am pretty confident she was a Captain. LilDice 13:58, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

What years did she serve —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.146.212.81 (talk) 05:33, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

    [edit] Residency

In the article it states that Robin Quivers lives in Staten Island, However the New York City Online Register (ACRIS) database indicates that she owns property in Queens not Staten Island. With this new information would anyone have a problem with me changing this information? The link to the ACRIS system is shown above if anyone else would like to check for themselves. [edit] WikiProject class rating

This article was automatically assessed because at least one WikiProject had rated the article as start, and the rating on other projects was brought up to start class. BetacommandBot 05:00, 10 November 2007 (UTC)
