I contest this deletion, the article is a stub and needs improving obviously, but as far as I can see he fits notability. Unfortunately I lack either the time or the linguistic skills (I don't speak Dutch) to finds more info about him, but this doesn't mean he should be deleted...GiantSnowman 20:05, 13 July 2007 (UTC)

He is part of the current squad of a Eredivisie team, which makes him notable. Soon (as the season start comes closer) I will at least be adding some information to all Eredivisie players where necessary, including this player. Knurftendans 00:15, 14 July 2007 (UTC)

Notability is totally irrelevant in this case. The article consists of one sentence Robin Huisman de Jong is a Dutch football player currently playing for SC Heerenveen., which gives less information about him than SC Heerenveen does. It is no loss (it would actually be a benefit) to WP to have this deleted and properly made later.  slυмgυм [ ←→ ] 12:10, 15 July 2007 (UTC)

What's the point in deleting an article if you intend to re-create it later; why not cut out the middle-man and keep the article but IMPROVE it. GiantSnowman 14:15, 15 July 2007 (UTC)

I don't intend to recreate it but someone else can. For this purpose a redlink is useful. It's a CSD as A1, but was rejected as not being A7. See WP:CSD#Articles.  slυмgυм [ ←→ ] 14:45, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
