Could you put something in the article about it's past link with mining and quarrying, also I think it had a railway line at one time. 30 May 2007

I've expanded the article slightly from my knowledge as a Robin Hood native: could have written a lot more but currently not able to provide citations, eg some locals say the village was actually named for the first pit there, in around 1800.
