"Robert McDowell is currently a potential candidate to fill the third Republican seat on the five-member Federal Communications Commission. January 24, 2006"

This last paragraph is about a different person of the same name. This is obvious from the dates.

There is no citation for the original article because it is about my grandfather and is hence oral history - ie I (Hamish Alcorn) am the source. There is much more I could say but I am certain about everything that is said. Conscious of the real issue of 'vanity articles' I have attempted to keep the article brief and concise. Meanwhile, I do believe RD McDowell is of such local importance as to be worth entry.

A detail I may have included is that the first daughter of RD McDowell's third daughter is Margo Kingston.
