[edit] POV problems

This article has numerous POV problems strewn throughout. Also, the writing style makes me concerned that there could be some sort of copyvio going on here, but I didn't find anything by a taking a brief crack at Google. --DachannienTalkContrib 08:08, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

I wrote this article (although the last paragraph keeps being cut out) about my step-father. I grew up with him, and this article is factual. There is no one for me to cite, I wrote it from my own knowledge. Michael Long, Esquire, Delray Beach, Florida. Mike_long@bellsouth.net

Therein lies the problem. Wikipedia does not publish original research. The page on original research gives a great explanation of what that term means, as well as how to cite sources so that people can independently verify that the things stated in an article are true. --DachannienTalkContrib 19:21, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

OK, I am sorry, I understand. But no one on earth is ever going to write a piece on my step-dad but me, so its the best I can do. Colin Powell does mention my dad in his book, so Robert L. "Sam" Wetzel is listed in the index of Powell's book, but not in reference to anything I would be quoting here. Powell's book will be the only book that ever mentions my dad, unless I myself write a book some day. MJL —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.161.225.139 (talk) 21:19, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

This is about tag cleanup. As all of the tags are more than a year old, there is no current discussion relating to them, and there is a great deal of editing done since the tags were placed, or in some cases it's clear there is a consensus, they will be removed. This is not a judgement of content. If there is cause to re-tag, then that of course may be done, with the necessary posting of a discussion as to why, and what improvements could be made. Better yet, edit the article yourself with the improvements in place. This is only an effort to clean out old tags, and permit them to be updated with current issues if warranted. That's my pasted statement - personally, I think Dachannien has a point - I also think 74.161.225.139 is in a unique position. I'm removing the tag for housekeeping reasons, if any want to return a new one with cause, sobeit.Jjdon (talk) 00:50, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

OK, thanks to you all for leaving the article in Wikipedia. I respect the Wikipedia rules and procedures. I remember Mike Deaver's last book on Reagan. Deaver begins by telling the reader that they won't find any citations, because its just a book written from the memories of a man who knew Reagan. This is my problem in writing this. You all are free to contact me directly at my email, or you can find me on the Florida Bar web page where you'll find my firm information with phone numbers. Thanks for your oversight and help.
