[edit] Edit war

I've temporarily placed protection on this page due to the edit war over the following content:

On July 4, 2001, when Iler was 16 years old, he and three others were arrested on Manhattan's Upper East Side for robbing $40 from two Brazilian tourists. Iler was charged with second degree robbery as well as marijuana possession which carried up to 15 years in prison. The three oldest were indicted on August 3 and plead not guilty on August 29. Iler had his television father, James Gandolfini, write a personal letter of recommendation to the district attorney's office on his behalf. On April 23, 2002, Iler and one of his accomplices agreed to plead guilty to a lesser misdemeanor and Iler was sentenced to three years probation. Iler and his parents held a barbecue for members of The Sopranos cast and crew to apologize for his behavior. It is reported that James Gandolfini threw his arms around Iler as a way to "welcome him back into the family."

What needs to be addressed here is that the content must be sourced. Please find a source for the above, or otherwise it can't be included. Thank you. -- Joe Beaudoin Jr. Think out loud 19:09, 11 October 2007 (UTC)

sources are already provided in the 2 external links for a long time before User:160.5.225.172 started to blank it, imdb is a reliable source, User:160.5.225.172 should learn to use WP. - 192.54.144.229 09:23, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
Actually, IMDb isn't not a reliable source when it comes to biographical information. They are a tertiary source, like Wikipedia. Better external sources than IMDb are needed... However, since we do have the CourtTV.com reference, that works as well. Having said all that, I think it would be nice if we had additional sources, since the information provided seems to date back to 2001. -- Joe Beaudoin Jr. Think out loud 10:18, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
I do know how to use wikipedia, no personal attacks please. If you had a source you should have specifically referenced it with a superscript. You should also have said this in the talk page or edit summery when re-adding it.--160.5.225.172 15:47, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
